About me
Shahrzad Badvipour has a BS in Natural Resource Engineering and a MS in International Environmental Management and Sustainability with a focus on renewable energy and environmental impact assessments. She completed her PhD in Design, Environment and the Arts at Arizona State University (ASU). Her dissertation focused on assessing algae production as a “Fit for Purpose” addressing issues relating to the Water- Energy-Food Nexus. After completion of her PhD, she joined the Center for Negative Carbon Emissions as a post-doctoral Research Associate at ASU where she focused on developing educational curriculum and training programs, engaging in public outreach and fostering public-private partnerships.
She is currently an Associate Project Manager at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality focusing on user and customer experience and stakeholder engagement projects. She joined the PMI Phoenix Chapter Outreach and research team in 2021 as a Collegiate faculty advisor.
